Marco Baas (1965) lives in Almere (NL) together with his wife Karin, son Alex (2000) and daughter Emma (2004). He works as an IT consultant.

His Lego interest started at age 10 when he got his first lego from his parents. Lego never became the main focus in his hobbies but over the years he kept on buying Lego. His Dark Ages ended in 2003 after he stopped with an other hobby. His Lego came back into focus and after he discovered Moonbase in 2004 his Dark Ages were over for good. Today he has a large Legocollection focused on Space and Moonbase.

In the Dutch Moonbase crew Marco focusses on building moc's (mostly buildings, moonbase modules and landscapes) and writing content for The Story and our website. He also designs and plans the (Moonbase) layouts. At meetings Marco is the storyteller, always busy with the visitors, showing the moc's and living the fantasy of our moc's.
