What is The Story
The Dutch Moonbase Story is a chronological timeline starting in 1944. It tells a fictional story of how mankind was able to explore the galaxy and beyond.
In The Story we use historical events, facts and fiction to tell our story. We base our fiction on known science etc. and then give it a twist to fit our needs. The Story is illustrated with pictures of LEGO moc’s we have built.
We came up with the idea for a storyline after Frechen 2008. We wanted to tell the story of Dutch Moonbase from the start of (Dutch) space exploration to the first (Dutch) colony on the moon. The story would be illustrated with pictures of moc’s we would build around the story.The idea evolved much further than we had originally planned. We wanted to go further in the future but in order to do so, we had to go back further in the past.
With the rebuild of our website in 2009 The Story was finally expanded, currently starting in as far back as 1944.
